Kirchbach is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Rappottenstein in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 77 building areas with 19,525 m² and 35 gardens on 15,276 m² in the cadastral municipality of Kirchbach , in 1989/1990 there were 76 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 167 and in 2009/2010 there were 106 buildings on 176 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 90 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 23 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 66 hectares and 46 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 50 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 48 hectares. The average soil climate number of Kirchbach is 16.4 (as of 2010).
