Code for the property feature

The two-digit code for the property feature was used as an identification number of a railroad car in the car number . It was used to code the owner of a car until 2005, when the two-digit country code took its place. If the owner was the state railway of the respective country, the syntax of the wagon number therefore usually remained the same, but the semantics are different. Since 2006, the vehicle owner has been indicated by a vehicle owner identification (holder code) with a maximum of five letters . This is next to the vehicle number, along with the alphabetical country code.
