Konstantin Jurjewitsch Landa ( Russian Константин Юрьевич Ланда ; born May 22, 1972 in Omsk ) is a Russian chess player .

He was promoted chess at the Botvinnik Kasparov Chess School in Moscow . Landa has lived in Dortmund since 1999 and completed a computer training there. Among other things, he trained Germany's No. 1 Arkadij Naiditsch and the former world chess champion Alexandra Kostenjuk . At the Chess Olympiads in 2010 in Khanty-Mansiysk and 2012 in Istanbul he was coach and non-playing team captain of the Iranian national team, in 2018 in Batumi of the national team of the United Arab Emirates. He was awarded the title FIDE Senior Trainer in 2011.

Chess successes

In 1994 he won the International Chess Open in Oberwart , and in 1995 a tournament in Nojabrsk . In January 1999 he won the Hotel Ciudad de Údeba -Open in Úbeda , in April 2001 the 5th International Neckar Open in Deizisau , in August 2002 he won the 5th Pyramiden-Franken-Cup in Fürth , in November 2002 the 6th International Bavarian Championship in Bad Wiessee , in September 2005 the FE 7 tournament in Trieste , in January 2006 the ITT Capodanno in Reggio nell'Emilia and in June 2007 the International Hamburg Championship in Hamburg . In July 2011 he won the 15th Hogeschool Zeeland Toernooi in Vlissingen , in October 2011 the Münsterland Open in Senden with 1.5 points ahead of Alexander Danin .

He played club chess in many countries. He played in the Icelandic team championship and also in the French , there earlier for the Club de Echiquier Nanceien , from 2008 to 2013 for the Club de Vandoeuvre-Echecs and in 2019 for Asnières - Le Grand Echiquier . In the Russian team championship in 1995 he played for Fakel Surgut . 1996 in Azov he was team champion with Ladja Azow ; with Ladja he also won the European Club Cup in 1997 . In the Spanish championship he used to play for CA Isla Bonita Cajacanarias , in 2009 and 2015 for Ajoblanco Merida Patrimonio , in the Belgian earlier for Jean Jaurès , in the 2011/12 season for La Tour d'Ans-Loncin , in the Iranian for Persepolis , the Championship runner-up in 2010. He also played in the Israeli team championship. He plays for Blackthorne Russia in the British Four Nations Chess League (4NCL) . In the German Federal Chess League he played in the 2003/04 season for the Bremer Schachgesellschaft von 1877 , and since the 2004/05 season he has played for SV Mülheim-Nord . With the Scuti Antal SK. Zalaegerszeg he won the 2007/08 team championship in Hungary. He has been playing in the Czech extra league since the 2013/14 season for the team from Výstaviště Lysá nad Labem , with whom he was Czech team champion in 2019 .

In 1991 he became international master , and since 1995 he has held the title of chess grandmaster . In February 2015, he is 25th in the Russian Elo ranking. With his highest Elo rating to date of 2678, he was 32nd in the world rankings in October 2007.
