The Bittenbrunn power plant is a run-of-river power plant on the Danube owned by Donau Wasserkraft AG .

The power plant is located near Bittenbrunn , a district of Neuburg an der Donau, and started generating commercial electricity in 1969. The nominal net electrical output of the Bittenbrunn power plant is 20.2 megawatts from three Kaplan turbines . The annual standard energy capacity is given as 122.5 million kilowatt hours. The power plant operated by Uniper Kraftwerke GmbH only generates traction current that is fed into the network of DB Energie GmbH.
