The Bad Abbach power plant is a run-of-river power plant operated by Rhein-Main-Donau AG on the Danube .

The power plant, which went into operation in 1978, generates three-phase alternating current for the network and is located near Poikam , a district of Bad Abbach . The operator of the power plant is Uniper Kraftwerke GmbH . It was built between 1974 and 1978 and has two Kaplan turbines with a runner diameter of 4.7 meters and a total capacity of 6.1 megawatts.
