The Donauwörth power plant is a run- of- river power plant owned by the Mittlere Donau Kraftwerke AG at the Donauwörth barrage and is operated by Bayerische Elektrizitätswerke GmbH . The power plant went into operation in 1984 and is part of the Donauwörth barrage at river kilometer 2511.84.

Technical specifications

The power plant, which is equipped with two turbine sets, is designed for an expansion water volume of around 200 m³ / s. Two Kaplan turbines drive two generators with a nominal output of 4.25 megawatts each with a corresponding standard energy capacity of the power plant of 54.8 million kWh per year. The target reservoir target , i.e. the desired water level of the headwater, is 403.7 m above sea level. NN . The weir of the barrage consists of three fields and the power house on the left. There is a boat lock on the right bank .
