The power plant, which went into operation in 1992, is located near Vohburg an der Donau in the Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm in Germany .
technology
The electrical power generated by three Kaplan turbines with a vertical shaft and an impeller diameter of five meters using the corresponding generators is 23.3 MW. The power plant generates traction current . The owner of the power plant is Donau Wasserkraft AG ; it is operated by Uniper Kraftwerke GmbH . The grid connection takes place at the 110 kV voltage level in the power grid of the traction power network operator DB Energie .
