Krondorf is a district of the town of Hirschau in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria . The hamlet currently has 38 inhabitants.

Krondorf lies between the federal highway 14 and the state highway 2238 . Between Hirschau Amberg is located on the main road 14 is a turnoff on the main road in 2238 there is a junction between Hirschau Amberg, over which one Burgstall reached.

Sacred Heart Chapel

In 1871, four parishioners asked permission to build a chapel to enable elderly and infirm locals to attend church. In 1907 the Catholic village chapel "Herz Jesu" was built. On the front gable side of the chapel there is a small bell in a turret clad with copper sheeting.

In 1997 there was an exterior renovation, in 1998 and 1999 the interior renovation combined with the renovation of the stalls, the statues of saints and the stations of the cross and the construction of a new altar. The previous altar made of granite was replaced by a replica of the altar according to the first version, which stands in the choir arch in front of a blue starry sky. During the interior renovation, two paintings were exposed on the side above the choir arch. Under six layers of paint, two angels floating on clouds emerged. The ceiling painting shows the risen Christ.

Krondorf can be reached via state road 2238. Between Hirschau and Amberg there is a junction to Krondorf. From the federal highway 14 , a junction between Hirschau and Gibbach leads to Krondorf.

Krondorf is connected to local public transport via a bus line. This is line 55 of the RBO between Amberg and Weiden via Schnaittenbach . ( VGN line 455).

The nearest train station is in Amberg, 13 kilometers away.
