Hirschhorn District Court

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hirschhorn District Court (until 1879 Hirschhorn Regional Court ) was a Hessian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1821 to 1968 (as a branch until 2003) with its seat in Hirschhorn (Neckar) .

history

In the Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt , the judicial system was reorganized in an executive order of December 9, 1803. The “Hofgericht Darmstadt” was set up as a court of second instance for the Principality of Starkenburg . The jurisdiction of the first instance was carried out by the offices or the landlords . The court court was the second instance court for normal civil disputes, and the first instance for civil family law cases and criminal cases. The superior court of appeal in Darmstadt was superordinate .

With the founding of the Grand Duchy of Hesse in 1806, this function was retained, while the tasks of the first instance were transferred to the newly created regional courts in 1821 as part of the separation of jurisdiction and administration. From 1821 to 1879, the “Hirschhorn Regional Court” was the name of the court of first instance in Hirschhorn, today's district court. In the territorial territories of the Starkenburg province , there was still a judicial office in Michelstadt for court cases of the second instance, which was subordinate to the court. The German Courts Constitution Act of 1879 led to a uniform judicial organization throughout the empire . The “Hofgericht Darmstadt” has now become the “ Regional Court of Darmstadt ” as the superior second instance in the province, while the first instance courts have been renamed the District Court.

district Court

On the occasion of the abolition of the administrative and judicial offices by the Grand Ducal Hessian Ordinance of July 14, 1821, the Hirschhorn Regional Court was formed, the district of which was initially congruent with the Hirschhorn District District and thus out of the former Hirschhorn office with the communities of Darsberg , Grein and Hirschhorn , Langenthal , Neckarhausen , Unterschönmattenwag and Neckarsteinach existed.

As a result of the reorganization of the judicial districts in the Starkenburg province with effect from June 1, 1853, the community of Rothenberg , which had previously belonged to the Beerfelden district court, was added with Hainbrunn and Kortelshütte , while Unterschönmattenwag was assigned to the newly established Waldmichelbach district court .

District Court

On October 1, 1879, due to the Courts Constitution Act, it was renamed the Hirschhorn District Court and assigned to the district of the Darmstadt District Court .

On July 1, 1968, the Hirschhorn (Neckar) district court was repealed and the Rothenberg community was added to the Michelstadt district court . The remaining municipalities of the old district court district now, together with Unter- and Ober-Schönmattenwag, formed the district of the Hirschhorn (Neckar) branch of the Fürth district court . On November 1, 2003, this branch was finally closed.
