The Gernsheim District Court ( Gernsheim Regional Court until 1879 ) was a Hessian court of ordinary jurisdiction from 1839 to 1934 with its seat in Gernsheim .

history

On December 16, 1839, at the instigation of the Grand Ducal Hessian Ministry of the Interior and Justice, a regional court was established with its seat in the city of Gernsheim and the district of this new regional court

allocated. With the reorganization of the judicial districts in the Starkenburg province with effect from June 1, 1853, the places Eich, Eschollbrücken and Hahn were transferred to the district of the Darmstadt Regional Court .

On October 1, 1879, due to the Courts Constitution Act, it was renamed the Gernsheim District Court and assigned to the district of the Darmstadt Regional Court . With effect from October 1, 1934, the district court of Gernsheim was repealed and the districts Biblis, Groß-Rohrheim, Hammer-Aue, Maulbeer-Aue, Nordheim and Wattenheim were assigned to the district court of Worms , and the remaining districts to the district court of Groß-Gerau .
