The Darmstadt II District Court ( Darmstadt Regional Court until 1879 ) was a Hessian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1853 to 1932 and was based in Darmstadt .

On June 1, 1853, at the instigation of the Grand Ducal Ministry of Justice in the Starkenburg Province, in addition to the existing city court, the Darmstadt district court was created, whose district initially consisted of the places Arheilgen , Braunshardt , Eberstadt , Eich , Erzhausen , Eschollbrücken , Graefenhausen , Griesheim , Hahn , Messel , Nieder-Beerbach , Nieder-Ramstadt , Ober-Ramstadt , Pfungstadt , Roßdorf , Schneppenhausen , Traisa , Waschenbach , Weiterstadt and Wixhausen .

In the course of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the previous regional courts in the Grand Duchy of Hesse were repealed and replaced by local courts at the same location, the same applied to the higher courts, whose function was now taken over by the newly established regional courts. The Darmstadt District Court was replaced by the Darmstadt District Court II, which in turn was assigned to the district of the new Darmstadt District Court . Furthermore, it was the district of the now local court of Darmstadt II to the hitherto to the old district court Reinheim related communities Frankenhausen and Neutsch as well as the previously the old district court Zwingenberg counting place Malchen expanded.

With effect from January 1, 1932, the Darmstadt I and Darmstadt II District Courts were merged to form the Darmstadt District Court .
