Lauriane Gilliéron

Lauriane Gilliéron (born July 25, 1984 in Lausanne , Canton of Vaud ) is a Swiss actress . In September 2005 she was elected Miss Switzerland 2005 (as the first representative of a French-speaking canton for 11 years) . During her year in office, she was able to achieve income of half a million Swiss francs, making her one of the most successful Misses.

Life

Lauriane Gilliéron has been a vegetarian since she was 7 years old . Her father is mayor of the municipality of Prilly near Lausanne. In 2002 and 2003 she was Swiss runner-up in Latin American dances .

In the Miss Universe 2006 elections in Los Angeles , she was third behind Miss Puerto Rico Zuleyka Rivera Mendoza and Miss Japan Kurara Chibana . This not only brought her the best result in Switzerland at a Miss Universe election (the best result so far was Lolita Morena's 4th place in 1982 ), but was also the best-ranked European.

According to a report by Swiss television on July 19, 2007, Lauriane Gilliéron took acting lessons at the Lee Strasberg School under the stage name Lauriane Gill. After she had appeared in TV series such as Rules of Engagement and CSI: Vegas from 2008 , she made her debut in a movie in 2012 with the gangster comedy Stand Up Guys .
