Leónidas Plaza Gutiérrez
Leónidas Plaza Gutiérrez (born April 18, 1865 in Charapotó , Manabí , † 1932 in Huigra , Chimborazo ) was an Ecuadorian military and politician and president from September 1, 1901 to August 31, 1905 and from September 1, 1912 to August 31, 1916 his country. Between 1905 and 1906 he represented his country as ambassador to the United States .
He was a supporter of Eloy Alfaro and his Liberal Party, but he did not represent them well. His second presidency ended the unrest after the assassination of Alfaro, but was in turn shaken by an uprising in Esmeraldas Province that lasted from 1913 to 1916.
