The yearbook Leben am See , until 1991 the home yearbook of the Bodenseekreis , is the home yearbook for the Bodenseekreis . The articles in every issue deal with all facets of life on Lake Constance. The focus is on the Lake Constance district.

history

The first yearbook was published in 1983 by Senn-Verlag, on the occasion of the ten-year existence of the Lake Constance district, which arose from the Tettnang district and part of the Überlingen district . The yearbook was first published by the district administrator of the Lake Constance district and the mayor of Friedrichshafen , and later also the mayor of Überlingen.

Content profile

Each volume contains between 40 and 60 contributions, most of which are written by locals. Recurring topics are summarized under rubrics, such as B. History, art and culture, customs, building history.

Sometimes there is a motif or a focus topic for an annual volume, often with a current reference.

In addition to the subject matter, each volume contains an annual chronicle of the district as well as a chronicle of the events in the individual towns and communities in the district. In addition, many of the volumes contain an appendix with current statistics and a bibliography of new publications on the Lake Constance area.

Printed registers were published in Volume 5, Volume 10, Volume 13 and Volume 15. Volume 26 (2009) was accompanied by a CD with an index of volumes 1–25 (1983–2008).

All individual contributions that have appeared so far are listed in the Euregio Bodensee database (Bodensee bibliography) and can be researched.
