Lee Anderson Grant (born January 27, 1983 in Hemel Hempstead ) is an English football goalkeeper .
Career
Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday
Lee Grant made his debut for second division Derby County at the age of 19 when he came on as a substitute for the injured Andy Oakes in a 67th minute home defeat by Burnley FC in a 2-1 home defeat by Burnley FC in the 67th minute. The young goalkeeper played 29 league games for the table eighteenth until the end of the 2002/03 season . After another season as a regular goalkeeper, he lost his place in goal to the up-and-coming Lee Camp at the beginning of the 2004/05 season . The following season he spent on loan at the second division Burnley FC and the third division Oldham Athletic . After only seven league appearances in the Football League Championship 2006/07 Grant received no new contract with the Premier League promoted team.
On July 2, 2007, Grant signed a three-year contract with second division Sheffield Wednesday and played the following three seasons as a goalkeeper. After two placements in the middle of the table, he rose in the third year with Sheffield as third from bottom of the Football League Championship 2009/10 in the third division.
Burnley FC and return to Derby County
After relegation with Sheffield Lee Grant moved to Burnley FC on July 27, 2010 . In the second division he was initially only a substitute behind long-time number one Brian Jensen , but played at least 25 league games by the end of the 2010/11 season. In the Football League Championship 2011/12 , he finally ousted the Danish goalkeeper and maintained this position in the 2012/13 season , which he ended with Burnley in the middle of the table as in the previous year.
On May 7, 2013 Grant returned to his first professional club Derby County on a free transfer .
