José Diogo Dalot Teixeira (born March 18, 1999 in Braga ) is a Portuguese football player who has been under contract with Manchester United since July 2018 .
Career
society
Born in Braga , José Diogo Dalot Teixeira joined the youth department of FC Porto in 2008 at the age of nine . On January 28, 2017, Dalot played his first professional game for Porto's B team in LigaPro . In the 1: 2 home defeat against Leixões SC , he was used over the full distance.
Diogo Dalot made his debut for the 1st team on October 13, 2017 in the 6-0 away win over Lusitano GC in the Taça de Portugal . His first appearance in the Primeira Liga 0 home win over: he played on 18 February 2018 when he at 5 Rio Ave came on.
On July 1, 2018, Diogo Dalot signed a five-year deal with Manchester United . The Premier League club transferred a transfer fee of £ 22 million to Porto for its services. He made his debut for the Reds on September 19, 2018 in a 3-0 away win against Young Boys Bern in the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League .
National team
Dalot participated with Portugal in the 2016 U-17 European Championship in Azerbaijan . He scored two goals in five appearances and helped his team win the tournament with his performances.
He also took part in the U-19 European Championship in 2016 and reached the quarter-finals with Portugal. The next year he reached the final with Portugal's U-19s, in which the team lost 2-1 to England .
At the 2017 U-20 World Cup in South Korea , Dalot was again in Portugal's squad. There they failed in the quarterfinals to Uruguay on penalties, in which Dalot converted his penalty.
