Leopold Grausam (born June 29, 1943 in Pressbaum ) is a former Austrian football player .

Career

Striker Leopold Grausam's first club was FC Hellas Kagran , where he played from 1953 to 1956. He then moved to his home club SV Pressbaum and finally joined the youth department of SK Rapid Vienna in 1958 . From Rapid he was awarded to SV Philips Vienna in the 1962/63 season, where he played in the third-class Viennese regional league. Leopold Grausam made his debut in a rapid dress in the A-League against Kapfenberger SV on November 10, 1963, because he scored four goals in the 5-0 home win and was reminiscent of Rapid striker Josef Bican , who did the same at his premiere was.

During this time Leopold Grausam was very successful with Rapid. In his first season in 1963/64 he was able to become Austrian champion , in 1966/67 and 1967/68 he enjoyed the championship he had won two more times; there were also two ÖFB Cup wins in 1968 and 1969. He made his debut in the Austrian national team under Béla Guttmann on April 12, 1964 against the Netherlands . Leopold Grausam himself was voted Austria's Footballer of the Year in 1967. In qualifying for the European Championship in '68 , he scored both the winning goal in the 2-1 win against Finland and the goal in the 1-0 win against the Soviet Union , but the overall result against the latter was left behind.

In 1970 he moved to FC Wacker Innsbruck for one season , which was very successful with Grausams fourth championship title. He made a name for himself internationally when he scored the winning goal in the 1-0 win against Real Madrid in the European Cup Winners' Cup . Although he had reached a European quarter-finals twice with Rapid, this was perhaps his greatest international success at club level. After another season 1971/72 when Linzer ASK Leopold Cruel his career was finally in the Swiss National League A at FC Grenchen and in the Austrian Regional League East when SV Rechnitz finish.

In the 1980s Grausam worked as a coach at Floridsdorfer AC and also at SC Tulln.
