Les Trois-Bassins is a commune in the overseas department of Réunion in France . It was founded on February 27, 1897. Its district is flanked to the north by Saint-Paul and to the south by Saint-Leu and extends from the Indian Ocean in the west to the “Du battant des lames au sommet des montagnes” ridge. Les Trois Bassins was the main town and the only municipality in the canton of the same name until it was dissolved in 2015, and since then it has belonged to the canton of Saint-Leu .
