The blazon of the municipal coat of arms reads: "In a split shield in silver on the right, three black cross-tips left, and on the left in red an inward-facing silver wing."

The wing refers to the noble family of Ortenburgers. The cross points are a takeover of the coat of arms of the Lords of Weißpriach, who had an archiepiscopal estate in the 15th century in what is now the local area.

The coat of arms was awarded on January 15, 1973.

The community council has a total of 9 members.
