Bünghausen is a district of Gummersbach in the Oberbergisches Kreis in southern North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .
geography
The place is about 8.6 km from the city center off the B 55 left of the Agger , nowadays like Hunstig directly adjacent to the much larger neighboring town of Dieringhausen .
history
In 1465 the place is mentioned for the first time as Buhnenkusen ; he is mentioned in connection with "Homburg-Berg afflictions due to immigration" .
Bünghausen together with the districts Ohmig , Hömel and Hunstig form a local community that looks back on more than 550 years of shared history. Until 1969 Bünghausen belonged like the three other places to the former municipality Bielstein and then became part of the municipality Gummersbach in the course of the municipality reform .
Economy and industry
The monastery courtyard in Bünghausen - the only remaining agricultural operation in the area - focuses on the ecological production of lamb from the herdbook breeding of brown mountain sheep , an endangered breed of livestock . Since 2005, another endangered breed of livestock has been kept with cattle of the Red Höhenvieh breed , the agricultural area of the recognized GEH Archehof is around 20 hectares and is farmed as a sideline.

The place is only indirectly connected to public transport . It can be reached via the Dieringhausen-Königstraße or Hunstig stops , which are connected by bus line 302 (Gummersbach - Nümbrecht / Waldbröl ). Bünghausen can also be reached via bus line 310 (Gummersbach - Engelskirchen / Overath ), Brunohl stop .
