Brunohl is a district of Gummersbach in the Oberbergischer Kreis in southern North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

The lowest point of Gummersbach is in Brunohl, 152 m above sea level. The place is on the Agger . Brunohl, a typical street village , extends along the federal highway 55 between Dieringhausen and the city limits of Engelskirchen (districts Osberghausen and Ösinghausen ). The districts of Schönenberg , Schneppsiefen , Bünghausen and Erbland located to the left of the river can be reached via the Brunohler Aggerbrücke .

The place was first mentioned in 1542: Johan am Bruyn oel is listed in the Turkish tax list.
