Hunstig is a district of Gummersbach in the Oberbergischer Kreis in southern North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .
geography
The place is about 8.9 km from the city center. Hunstig is located above the neighboring district of Dieringhausen on a left-hand slope of the Aggertal . To the south the place is bordered by Gummersbach's neighboring municipality Wiehl .
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1465: "Hardemans Wyff van Huntdich and Katharina van Huntzdyche " ( sic ; alternating spelling) are listed among the immigrants to Homburg .
Together with the districts of Ohmig , Hömel and Bünghausen, Hunstig forms a local community that looks back on more than 550 years of shared history. Until 1969, Hunstig, like the three other places, belonged to what was then the municipality of Bielstein and then became part of the municipality of Gummersbach as part of the municipality reform .
Economy and industry
- The company Albrecht Kind (AKAH), a wholesaler in the hunting and shooting sports industry, has been located locally for over 150 years.
- The headquarters of SABO , whose lawnmowers are built in Hunstig, is also located in the village .
