Ohmig is a district of Gummersbach in the Oberbergischer Kreis in southern North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

The southernmost district of Gummersbach is about 9.3 km from the city center and borders the city of Wiehl . The place is near the federal highway 4 .

history

Ohmig, together with the districts of Bünghausen , Hömel and Hunstig, forms a local community that looks back on more than 550 years of shared history. Like the other three towns, Ohmig belonged to what was then the Bielstein community until 1969 and then became part of the Gummersbach community as part of the community reform .
