Berghausen is a district of Gummersbach in the Oberbergisches Kreis in southern North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

The place lies on a ridge between the river valleys of Leppe and Gelpe, which run parallel here . Via the state roads L 323 and L 307 you can reach the town on the L 98 after a good 9 kilometers from the city center.

history

The place was mentioned for the first time in 1469, namely a cirstman from Berchusen acted as a witness in a dispute between Mark and Berg .

Berghausen belonged to the imperial rule of Gimborn-Neustadt until 1806 .
