Lewis Ferguson was born the son of Scottish national football player Derek Ferguson . He is also the nephew of Barry Ferguson . From 2017 he played for Hamilton Academical . He made his professional debut for the club in the Scottish Premiership on January 24, 2018 when he was in the starting line-up for the game against Heart of Midlothian . By the end of the 2017/18 season , he was used in twelve other league games. In May 2018, the 18-year-old Ferguson signed a contract with Aberdeen FC for the next season .
