Michael Devlin (born October 3, 1993 in Motherwell ) is a Scottish football player who plays for Aberdeen FC and for the national team of his home country.

Career

Michael Devlin was born in Motherwell, southeast of Glasgow, in 1993. He began his career in the immediate vicinity of his hometown at Hamilton Academical . For the team known as Accies , he made his professional debut at the age of 17 on January 15, 2011 against the Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Premier League . In the same year he was awarded from March to May to the Scottish third division club FC Stenhousemuir . In the remainder of the 2010/11 third division season he played ten games and scored three times as a central defender. From January to May 2012, Devlin was again awarded to Stenhousemuir . After returning to the Accies , Devlin was able to fight for a regular place in central defense in the following seasons. The 22-year-old was named team captain in August 2016 . In January 2018 Devlin moved to Aberdeen FC .

National team

On October 10, 2019 Devlin made his debut for the Scottish national team against Russia .
