Curtis Lee Main (born June 20, 1992 in South Shields ) is an English football player who is under contract with FC Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership .

Career

Curtis Main started his career in the youth of Sunderland AFC . As a 13-year-old he moved to Darlington FC . He made his professional debut for the club on May 3, 2008, when he played against Peterborough United in the English fourth division at the age of 15 years and 318 days . He became the youngest ever used Darlington player. He scored his first goal in February 2009 when he scored the 1-0 winning goal against Grimsby Town .

In May 2011, Main signed with the second division club Middlesbrough FC . In the following three years he was a supplementary player in Boro's squad. From August to October 2013 he was awarded to the third division club Shrewsbury Town . From 2014 he was under contract with the Doncaster Rovers after the Rovers and Boro had agreed on a swap. James Husband moved to Middlesbrough and Main in return for Doncaster. After he was still a regular in the 2014/15 season , he lost the place in the following season with the Rovers. In the second half of the 2015/16 season he was awarded to league rivals Oldham Athletic .

In 2016 the striker moved to fourth division FC Portsmouth . As a fourth division champion, he rose with the Pompey's 2017 .

In January 2018, Main moved to Scotland for Motherwell FC . With Well he reached the final of the Scottish Cup in May 2018 , which was lost to Celtic Glasgow . He left the club in June 2019 and moved to league rivals FC Aberdeen .
