Craig James Bryson (born November 6, 1986 in Rutherglen ) is a Scottish football player who has been under contract with the Scottish first division club FC Aberdeen since 2019 .

Career

FC Clyde and FC Kilmarnock

Craig Bryson made his debut on August 14, 2004 for the Scottish second division club FC Clyde in the Scottish Football League First Division . After two more seasons as a regular player, he moved to the first division club FC Kilmarnock on July 4, 2007 . In the Scottish Premier League 2008/09 Bryson established himself as a regular player and consolidated this status a season later . The Scottish Premier League 2010/11 ended Bryson (33 games / 2 goals) with Kilmarnock in fifth place.

Derby County

On June 9, 2011 Craig Bryson moved to the English second division club Derby County . In the Football League Championship 2011/12 Bryson (44 games / 6 goals) quickly became a mainstay of the team and was voted the best player of the season within the club.

Aberdeen FC

In June 2019 Bryson moved back to Scotland and signed a contract with Aberdeen FC .

Scottish national team

On November 16, 2010 Bryson played his first international match for Scotland in a 3-0 home win over the Faroe Islands .
