Liechtenstein Cup 2015/16

The Liechtenstein Cup 2016/17 (officially: FL1 Aktiv-Cup) was the 72nd edition of the men's soccer cup competition in Liechtenstein . The competition was played from August 17, 2016 to May 24, 2017 in five rounds in a knockout system. The defending champion was the record cup winner FC Vaduz , who reached the final again and won it 5-1 against USV Eschen-Mauren . It was the 45th cup title in the 58th final. In addition, FC Vaduz received the right to participate in qualifying for the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League .

All Liechtenstein teams that took part in the Swiss league system were also registered for the Liechtenstein Cup. That means that second and third teams also played. There were no restrictions when the matches were drawn, so that teams from the same club could also be drawn against each other. The semi-finalists of the last event only started in the quarter-finals.

The Liechtenstein Cup was played in the knockout system . The games took place on the following dates:

  • 1st preliminary round (August 17th, 23rd, 24th and September 7th, 2016): 8 teams, the winners are qualified for the 2nd preliminary round.
  • 2nd preliminary round (September 27, 28 and October 4, 2016): 8 teams, the winners are qualified for the quarter-finals.
  • Quarter-finals (October 25 & 26, 2016): 8 teams, the winners are qualified for the semi-finals.
  • Semi-finals (April 5 & 11, 2017): 4 teams, the winners qualify for the final.
  • Final (May 24, 2017)
