List of members of the Salzburg state parliament (1st republic, 2nd electoral term)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of members of the Salzburg state parliament (1st republic, 2nd electoral period) lists all members of the Salzburg state parliament in the 2nd electoral period of the First Republic . The legislative period lasted from the constitution of the Landtag on May 4, 1922 to May 3, 1927. The constitution of the subsequent Landtag for the third electoral period took place on May 4, 1927.

In the state elections in 1922 , the Christian National Electoral Community achieved an absolute majority of votes and mandates, with the number of state parliament seats being reduced from 40 to 28 in advance. The Christian National Electoral Community was an alliance of the Christian Social Party (CSP), the German National Socialist Workers 'Party (DNSAP) and the Freedom Salzburg Farmers' Union. Together, the electoral alliance had won 16 mandates, with 14 mandates from the CSP and one from the DNSAP and one from the Salzburg Farmers' Union. After the election, however, the three parties did not form a joint state parliament club; instead, the representatives of the NSDAP and the farmers' union remained non-attached and worked informally with the Greater German People's Party. Furthermore, the Social Democratic Workers 'Party of German Austria (SDAPDÖ) won ten mandates, the newly founded Greater German People's Party (GDVP), which had partially succeeded the Freedom Party, Peasants and Workers' Party, entered the state parliament with two mandates.

After the members of the state parliament were sworn in on May 4, 1922, the state parliament elected the members of the state government Rehrl I on the same day .
