from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of members of the Salzburg state parliament (6th legislative period) lists all members of the Salzburg state parliament in the 6th legislative period or 10th electoral period. The legislative period lasted from the constitution of the state parliament on May 14, 1969 to May 21, 1974. The constitution of the subsequent state parliament of the 7th legislative period took place on May 22, 1974.

In the 1969 state elections , the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) won 13 of the 32 seats and thus lost two seats compared to the 1959 election. The Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ), on the other hand, was able to hold its 13 seats again, which is the first time the SPÖ caught up with the ÖVP. The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) provided six members of the state parliament, which meant that the FPÖ was able to gain two seats.

After the members of the state parliament had been sworn in, the constituent meeting on June 14, 1969, elected the state government Lechner III , which succeeded the state government Lechner II .
