List of Formula E teams

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list contains all teams that have started at least one race of the FIA Formula E Championship . So far, 15 different teams have started in the championship, eight of which have been at the start without interruption since the premiere season. Most recently, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team joined for the sixth 2019/20 season , and the Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team took over the starting position from HWA Racelab .

Team concept

The FIA designates the team (competitor) as the racing teams that use two vehicles with their drivers in the races. The teams have to buy or lease the vehicles from the organizer of the racing series. Drivetrains can either be designed in-house or purchased from a manufacturer.

Many teams competed in individual seasons under different team names due to sponsors or investors. To classify the histories and connections of the individual teams, the respective notes must be observed.

Team overview

The teams currently participating in the championship are shown in bold in the list.

Explanations for the individual columns:

  1. The Rank column shows the position of the team sorted by points. In the event of a tie, the number of wins is decisive, then the number of second and third places.
  2. The Team column gives the name under which the team is competing in the current season. Earlier responses are given in brackets. The flag stands for the country with whose license the team is competing.
  3. The seat column indicates the location of the factory from which the team coordinates its racing activities. For works teams, the drive train does not have to be designed here.
  4. The columns Points to FanBoosts indicate the numerical values of the respective category for the individual teams. Top marks are marked in bold here.
  5. The Active Seasons column lists the seasons in which the team took part in at least one season race.
