Version of the source “Queckborn” through a stone retaining wall (granite porphyry), built-in stone bench, curved parapet wall and forecourt, ceramic panel with the inscription “Queckbrunnen”, designed by Johannes Gillhoff (1920) as the only part of a larger project relating to the ramparts. The ponds are fed by the spring.

re. 1716–1719 (bridge) Remarkable stone arch bridge, the building built by Matthias Daniel Pöppelmann , the master builder of the Dresden Zwinger, on behalf of the electorate with artistic, historical and traffic significance, baroque bridge construction of rarity.

Arches and pillars made of ashlar Rochlitzer Porphyrtuff, renovated in 1999/2000, on the old town side with sandstone top with inscription, copy of the coat of arms stone from 1724, put back in early 1984, a pillar with water level marking, previous bridge built in 1637, previously Dr.-Rudolf-Friedrich-Brücke.

The bridge rests on six sturdy stone pillars, between which six well-proportioned basket arches span between 10.95 m and 14.10 m. The pillars are extended to a point in both directions. The broader group pillars adorn pulpits. A weathered inscription in the upstream keystone of the fourth arch to the right of the river, as well as a stone placed on the parapet with the royal Polish and the electoral Saxon coat of arms (copy of the original) reminds of the bridge construction under Augustus the Strong. The middle section over an approximately 30 m wide opening was originally designed as a wooden house bridge with a hanging truss. This part is made of steel from 1894. Rochlitz porphyry tuff was used as the material for the stone bridge arches and for the pillars. The bridge crosses a municipal road and undergoes the Mulde.

Two-storey, massive plastered building that functions as a side wing to the residential building at Leipziger Platz 1 and essentially dates back to at least the Renaissance period (16th century); the cellar below could well be of medieval origin. Around 1685, based on dendrochronological findings, a Baroque renovation phase can be proven, in which the rear part of the building was subdivided and the two-bay groined vault and the basket-arched windows on the ground floor were created. The construction of the roof structure (simple collar beam roof truss), which has been partially preserved with recent changes, also took place in the same period.

re. 1723 Copy of a distance column, important in terms of traffic history.

Copy of a Saxon distance column made of sandstone with the year 1723, coat of arms, inscriptions on including the year and post horn and base. The column was erected at the Leipziger Tor in 1723. It is not known when the column was canceled. On April 28, 1997 a copy of the column was set up at the Schwanenteich. In 1722, the Electorate of Saxony began to erect the Saxon post-mile pillars. Elector Friedrich August I wanted to build a modern traffic and transport control system in the electorate in order to promote trade and economy. He entrusted Magister Adam Friedrich Zürner (1679–1742) with the implementation. The system of post mile pillars comprised distance pillars, quarter milestones, half and full mile pillars. The distance columns should be set up in the cities in front of the city gates, later only on the marketplaces. Quarter milestones, half and full mile pillars were set up along the Poststrasse. They received a consecutive numbering (row number), starting from the beginning of the measurement. The all-mile columns were set up outside the cities on the post roads at a distance of 1 mile (= 9.062 km). The distance pillars were marked with the monogram "AR" for "Augustus Rex", the Electoral Saxon and Polish-Lithuanian double coat of arms and the Polish royal crown. The full mile, half mile columns and quarter milestones were all similarly labeled, none of them had a coat of arms, but the monogram "AR". The distances were given in hours (1 hour = ½ post mile = 4.531 km). This mile system was the first European traffic management system. The pillar considered here is of great importance in the history of traffic as part of the nationally significant postal system.
