This list of pyramids is an overview of historical pyramids (as well as step pyramids and step structures) worldwide up to the beginning of modern times . The list is not complete , as only the most important of countries with many pyramids are listed here (the others are available via a corresponding country link) - but it should cover all known construction methods. A separate list of modern pyramids shows pyramid- shaped structures with a date of origin in modern times.
