List of ski jumping hills

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Copper Peak - highest inrun tower in the world

The list of ski flying hills contains all ski flying hills in the world with a hill size (HS) from 185 meters - Vikersundbakken (HS 240), Kulm (HS 235), Letalnica (HS 240), Heini-Klopfer ski jumping hill (HS 235) and Čerťák ski flying hill (HS 210) - which have been homologated (certified) by the FIS . Older ski jumping hills without a valid FIS certificate from a K point of 160 meters are also listed. The list shows the size of the hill with hill size, K-point and the current hill record, the year of construction and the spectator seats, as well as when the first jump over 200 meters and the period of the world record. The flight competitions held on the hill under the direction of the FIS are mentioned.

Since 2014 the Letalnica bratov Gorišek together with the Vikersundbakken have been the largest ski jumping hills in the world. The expansion in Vikersund to the K 200 / HS 225 in 2010 was made possible by a rule change by the FIS, which now allows a maximum height difference of 135 meters between the take-off and the run (previously 130 meters). Since the official opening on February 2nd, 2017, the Heini-Klopfer ski jumping hill in Oberstdorf has also risen to become one of the largest ski flying hills as K 200 / HS 225 (at the time of reopening) through modernization and renovations . The tallest inrun tower of all ski jumping hills is the decommissioned Copper Peak flying hill in the United States with a height of 73 meters, which has recently been renovated (including a plastic covered hill).
