The Ski Jumping World Cup 2001/02 (official sponsor name : ruhrgas FIS Ski Jumping World Cup 2001/02 ) was one of the International Ski Federation FIS between 23 November 2001 and 24 March 2002, 18 different locations in Europe and Asia discharged series of competitions in ski jumping . Originally, the implementation of 23 individual and five team competitions was planned. One individual competition had to be canceled without replacement, so that 22 individual competitions were included in the evaluation. Victory in the overall standings went to Polish defending champion Adam Małysz this season , followed by German Sven Hannawald and Finn Matti Hautamäki in second and third place . The national ranking was won by the team from Germany , ahead of Austria and the team from Finland that won last year .
