Sinstorf (district number 708) has 4201 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) on 2.5 km². Sinstorf is in the postcode areas 21077 and 21079.

There are 42 designated traffic areas in Sinstorf. One group of motifs bears the name “Places in the Lüneburg Heath”, but this group is mainly found in the Langenbek district to the north . In the west there is another group of motifs, “beetles”.
