The list of streets, squares and bridges in Hamburg-Eilbek is an overview of the streets, squares and bridges currently available in the Hamburg district of Eilbek . It is part of the list of traffic areas in Hamburg .
Overview
In Eilbek (district numbers 501 to 504), 21,287 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2015) live on 1.7 km². Eilbek is in the postcode area 22089.
There are 52 designated traffic areas in Eilbek, including five bridges. Most are part of one of the following groups of motifs:
- Auenviertel (west), former property of the Hospital of the Holy Spirit in the Eilbekniederung ( Aue ), which was parceled out from the middle of the 19th century for the construction of a residential area , the street names all end in -au.
- Poets and thinkers quarter (northeast), developed towards the end of the 19th century, the streets here were named after nationally important writers and philosophers (based on the neighboring composers quarter in Barmbek-Süd )
- historical field names and people from the history of the district
