List of traffic areas in Hamburg
This list of traffic areas in Hamburg gives an overview of all traffic areas in the 104 districts of Hamburg that are included in the street and area directory of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg 2011 (8th, updated edition as of November 22, 2018). In alphabetical order, in addition to the total number of areas, there is a breakdown of streets (including footpaths and dirt roads), squares, bridges, parks and tunnels for each district. The “Other” column includes areas that are usually not open to the public, such as locks , barrages , courtyards and quays in the districts of the city near the port or the Elbe, as well as the two Elbe islands Schweinsand and Neßsand . It also includes the Kaltehofe island in Rothenburgsort and two sports facilities in Eimsbüttel and Neuallermöhe .
There is a link to the street list for each district. The Hamburg exclave Neuwerk is the only district without a designated traffic area. Conclusions on the total number of all traffic areas in Hamburg cannot be drawn from this table because either a street can lead through two or more districts or the border between two districts can run in the middle of a street or a bridge and this is therefore taken into account in several districts. In some cases, according to the street directory, a street is in a different part of the city than the city map shows. In this case, the street is listed in both parts of the city with a corresponding notice.
Together with the individual district lists, this list is also regularly updated as soon as new traffic areas named by the Senate have been published in the Official Gazette and they have been identified in the official city map.
