List of the thickest sequoia trees in Germany
The list of the thickest sequoia trees in Germany is called sequoia trees ( Sequoioideae ), the trunk circumference of which exceeds a specified size. At a height of one meter, this limit is 7.5 meters, and at a height of 1.3 meters (the point at which the breast height diameter (BHD) is determined over the circumference) it is seven meters (corresponds to BHD = 2.23 m). The place, the location, the federal state, the total height, the two circumferences, the year of planting and the coordinates are given for each of the 34 sequoias . All trees are giant sequoias ( Sequoiadendron giganteum ). The trees listed are in Baden-Württemberg (15), North Rhine-Westphalia (9), Hesse (5), Bavaria (2), Rhineland-Palatinate (2) and Bremen (1).
The sequoia near Neuweiler is the strongest in Germany with a diameter of 4.10 meters at chest height. The trunk's large girth is due to a large lump called a burl , which suggests an older injury. The second and third strongest sequoias with a chest height diameter of 2.92 and 2.91 meters are located in Baden-Baden and Mainau ; the oldest date from 1858, the youngest, the giant sequoia near Schotten , was planted in 1900.

- Trunk circumference: states the circumference of the trunk measured at a height of one meter and the year of measurement.
- Chest height diameter: states the diameter of the trunk at a height of 1.3 meters, determined by measuring the circumference, and the year of measurement.
- Location: gives the coordinates of the tree.
- Evidence: Identifies the source of the information.
