This list of Japanese-Portuguese city and community partnerships shows the city ​​and community friendships between the countries of Japan and Portugal .

Nine Japanese and Portuguese municipalities are friends or are striving to do so (as of 2013). In 1969 the first Japanese-Portuguese city friendship arose between Tokushima and Leiria .
