This list of East Timorese-Portuguese city and municipality partnerships shows the city ​​and municipality friendships between the countries of East Timor and Portugal .

The town twinning is characterized by the centuries-old East Timorese-Portuguese relations . After the independence of the former Portuguese colony of East Timor in 1975 and even before full independence from Indonesia in 2002 , Baucau and Seixal formed the first East Timorese-Portuguese city friendship on May 6, 2000. A total of 11 partnerships already exist or are being initiated (as of 2014).
