List of earthquakes in Switzerland

This list of earthquakes in Switzerland includes earthquakes that occurred in what is now Switzerland . Earthquakes with a magnitude of 4.5 or more or intensity VII are included in the list . Another reason for inclusion is an event that is particularly associated with it or a national interest.

Even if Switzerland, for example in comparison to Italy , is not in an area in which severe earthquakes are frequent, they do occur again and again and the Basel and Valais region in particular are considered to be earthquake-prone.
