The Logos Verlag Berlin is a German academic publisher based in Berlin .
The publisher publishes textbooks , monographs , conference proceedings , commemorative publications and specialist journals . According to its own information, it brings out around 200 new publications annually and the backlist includes around 5,700 titles; including 7 scientific journals and approx. 90 publication series . A large number of the publications are available as e-books via the ProQuest , EBSCO and the publisher's MyLibrary. It also offers the opportunity to publish Open Access .
Publishing program
The publishing program includes publications (mainly dissertations and post- doctoral theses ) from the humanities , social and legal sciences as well as from economics , engineering and natural sciences . The focus is on the fields of philosophy , history , educational theory , art history , literature and linguistics as well as information technology . The publishing house sees itself "as a publishing house for innovative science and thus as a scientific source of inspiration." With its publications, the publisher also participates in current academic debates beyond the university discourse, including future topics such as cultural technology , migration , ecology and sustainability .
