Title and line of succession

On December 31, 2012, Queen Elizabeth II had ordered through letters patent that all future children of Prince William should receive the title and salutation of Royal Highness , not just the eldest son, as was customary until then.

Louis is fifth in the British line of succession . Standing in front of the prince are his grandfather Charles, his father William and his older siblings George and Charlotte .

In March 2015, the equal succession of female descendants to the throne came into force for all children born after October 28, 2011. By this law, Louis remains in line of succession to his sister.
