Luv Bug was an Irish pop band that had their greatest hits in the 1980s.

The band's first single, Red Light Spells Danger from 1984, went straight to the Irish charts. Further chart-listed singles followed. As the winner of the Irish preliminary decision, the group was allowed to compete for their country at the 1986 Eurovision Song Contest in Bergen . With the pop song You Can Count on Me , the group not only reached fourth place in the competition, but also number 2 in the Irish charts, their greatest success to date.

The band released singles until the mid-1990s, but then with less success.

The band members were the siblings June (vocals), Hugh (electric bass) and Max Cunningham (guitar), Ricky Meyler (keyboards) and Majella Grant (drums).
