Mühlhausen is a district of Homberg (Efze) in the north Hessian Schwalm-Eder district .

The place is located in northern Hesse 2.5 km northwest of Homberg on the northern foothills of the Knüllgebirge on the Efze . Landesstrasse 3224 and Kreisstrasse 47 meet in the village .

Mühlhausen was first mentioned in a document in 1209. The village fell into desolation towards the end of the 15th century and was only later repopulated. Around 1510 there were nine defensive men and five plows in the village , and nine carnival chickens had to be taken away as a fee every year. In 1929 the place got a Protestant church .

At 31 December 1971 was Mulhouse in the course of administrative reform in Hesse , now on a voluntary basis in the town of Homberg, Region of Kassel Homberg (Efze) , incorporated .
