The Majestic Princess (also known on the Chinese market under the name Shèngshì Gōngzhǔ Hào ( chinesischen 公主号 )) is a cruise ship of the Princess Cruises shipping company that entered service in 2017 . It is the third of the Royal Class , which is planned to consist of seven units, and is specially designed for the Chinese cruise market.

The Majestic Princess was commissioned on July 30, 2014 as the third unit of the Royal class and laid down on July 10, 2015 under hull number 6232 in the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone . The launch took place on February 8, 2016, the commissioning on April 4, 2017 with a five-day journey through the Adriatic Sea . The Majestic Princess is different from her sister ships used specifically for the Chinese market. Its Chinese name means blooming princess .
The Majestic Princess is used from April to August for trips from Keelung in East Asia , and the rest of the year she sails from Sydney to Oceania . The ship is scheduled to replace the Regal Princess in Alaska in the summer of 2021 .
In terms of equipment, the Majestic Princess differs from the other units of the Royal class, among other things, in its specialty restaurant with Cantonese cuisine. Ship announcements are like the signage and offers in Mandarin .
