Malé Březno (German Klein Priesen ) is a municipality on the right bank of the Elbe between Ústí nad Labem and Děčín . It lies at the mouth of the Kreuzbach (Luční potok) coming from Auscha into the Elbe. The community belongs to the Okres Ústí nad Labem in Ústecký kraj and has 523 inhabitants.
The place is on the museum railway Velké Březno - Zubrnice .
history
The village, probably built around 900 in the shape of a Slavic round , was severely destroyed in the Thirty Years War . The place remained a farming village. It was only with the construction of the Austrian Northwest Railway and the branching local railway Großpriesen-Wernstadt-Auscha that the place enlarged considerably and the number of inhabitants doubled. Malé Březno nad Labem was part of the judicial district of Aussig or the district of Aussig during the Habsburg Monarchy . Before the Second World War , 782 people lived here.
At the beginning of 2014 it became known that the abandoned village of Vitín, which lies in the municipality of Malé Březnos, is to be sold by the Czech state for 405,000 Czech crowns.
Community structure
The community Malé Březno consists of the districts Leština ( Leschtine ) and Malé Březno ( Kleinpriesen ). Basic settlement units are Leština, Malé Březno and Vitín ( Wittine ).
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts Leština u Malého Března, Malé Březno nad Labem and Vitín u Malého Března.
