history
The village on the old trade route from Ústí nad Labem to Prague was probably founded around 1000. The first written mention of the village and the church dates back to 1352. In 1360 Zdeněk Syrso from Dubice had the patronage of the church in Stebno. At that time there was a manorial court in Stebno. Until 1405 Stebno belonged to the brothers Rüdiger and Erhard von Sullowitz. In 1542 the von Mühlen brothers bought the village on Untertürmitz . Thereafter, the village remained subservient to Türmitz until the middle of the 19th century. In 1638 four of the 15 properties in the village were in desolation. In the berní rula of 1654, 13 farms, twelve of them Chalupner, are reported for Stebno. In 1757 the village was sacked by Prussian troops. Large fires broke out in Stöben in 1801, 1832 and 1833.
After the abolition of patrimonial Stöben / Stebno formed with the district Elbogen from 1850 onwards a political municipality in the judicial district or district of Außenig . The community of Stöben had 276 inhabitants in 1930, most of whom were German. After the Munich Agreement , the community was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Aussig district until 1945 . In 1939 the community had 240 inhabitants. In 1945 Stebno returned to Czechoslovakia and the German residents were expelled . In 1948 the community was assigned to the Okres Ústí nad Labem-okolí and in 1961 again to the Okres Ústí nad Labem . The incorporation of Podlešín and Suchá took place in 1961. In 1973 Chvalov, which had previously belonged to Dolní Zálezly , was added. Between 1980 and 1991 Stebno and its districts were incorporated into Řehlovice . The municipality of Stebno has existed again since the beginning of 1992.
